Citynet acquires new Charleston facility

Charleston, WV: Jim Martin, President/CEO, Citynet, today announced the acquisition of a new Charleston facility. Currently, Citynet occupies leased facilities in downtown Charleston.
In his announcement, Mr. Martin said “At Citynet, we are pleased to announce that we have purchased a new Charleston operations center. Moving from leased offices into our own building represents the growth we are experiencing in West Virginia, especially in Charleston. This purchase is part or our renewed commitment to the State of West Virginia and its individual and business citizens. We have added significantly to the number of employees working in the Charleston/Huntington markets and that, along with the growth of our business, requires us to secure a new and larger location.”
Citynet has finalized the purchase of 223 Virginia Street East, Charleston, West Virginia. Employees will begin to relocate to the new facility about October 1st. Charleston residents will remember this facility as once housing West Virginia Wireless and before that, Circuit City.
“This is welcome news not only for our customers who will embrace our expansion, but also for our dedicated employees as well. The building is a perfect fit in our strategy to provide next generation services to our customers. The facility currently includes office space, a carrier-class Central Office, and warehouse space. Citynet will continue to maintain the Central Office while actually increasing the facility’s connectivity”, said Luther Toney- CTO, Citynet.
Citynet will continue to maintain its headquarters in Bridgeport, WV as well as their current offices in Morgantown, WV and Columbus, Ohio.
