Ashely Bassel

It’s time for another behind-the-scenes look at the employees of Citynet! Today, we are talking with Administrative Assistant & Testing Coordinator Ashely Bassel.

How long have you been at Citynet?
One and a half years.

What do you do in your roles at Citynet?
I am seated at the front desk in the Bridgeport office. I am the first point of contact when anyone walks through the front door. From there, I can determine what an individual needs or who to speak with to resolve any issue. I also administer tests, as Citynet is a PearsonVUE Testing Center.

What do you wish people knew about Citynet?
Citynet is very actively growing and provides great opportunities for our employees and the community.

With which departments at Citynet do you work closely?
I work a good deal with Human Resources as I help with the hiring and onboarding process for all new hires, which is great as I get to meet our new team members and welcome them into the company.

Why did you decide to work with Citynet?
I was looking for a career path that could provide me with a stable, long-term position with plenty of room to grow.

What is the best part about working at Citynet?
Personally, I enjoy the atmosphere here at Citynet. Working with others who show appreciation and create motivation which makes the work days go smoothly.

Outside of work, what do you like to do?
I enjoy anything related to animals, nature, or being around friends and family.

What are some of your favorite places or things about West Virginia?
I love visiting some of West Virginia’s state and national parks. They provide beautiful scenery and various activities to share with friends and family.

Who is your favorite famous West Virginian?
Steve Harvey because I love a good laugh.
